- Well, whatever happens, Viscorp has to be very carefull about the
- moves they make. They should fisrt announce if they're going to develop
- Amiga computers!!! Are you all at VIScorp listening??? Be clear about
- your intentions, that press release was a pretty lame and non commital
- piece of lip service, hate to be blunt...Will the Power Amiga project
- continue as planned, will the walker or any competetively priced Amiga
- ever be seen on North American soil??? This market has already been in
- death's rumpus room, we all didnt like being there, we don't want to go
- back!!!
-
- Set-top boxes are nice, but who's to say that Microsoft wont take that
- market over, with some stategic alliances, or just a predatory take
- over here and there. This area of technology is just to new to put all
- your eggs in one basket. My point is if the set-top box thing doesnt
- take off for Viscorp, they can continue to develop the Amiga as the
- capable platfrom we all know it is. At this once again crucial time we
- need definative answers to questions like...
-
- 1) Power amigas, The walker- will they ever come out??
-
- 2) Now that Amiga TEch is a US owned company, will there be any sort
- of commitment/marketing plan for the U.S. market, not just the popular
- european markets. It's been 5 years since anyone in the US has been able
- to walk into nationwide sotware retailer and buy anything Amiga related
- will this ever change. (probably not)
-
- 3) If Viscorp does not want to manufacture and develop future Amigas
- will the technology be liscenced to those who will?
-
- I know this is probably a lot to ask, but Amiga users deserve answers
- to these questions. If anyone at VIScorp is reading this, please give
- some answers.
-
- Thank for reading this,
- MJesus
